Update to Hub listings 19/04/2015

Added two new blogs today.  The list now stands at 246 entries.

It has been awhile since there has been an update to the Blog list - mainly because there have been no nominations.  It has to do with the diminishing popularity of the Blog as a means of communication.  I will continue to maintain the Hub and hope you enjoy the entries of the people who own the Blogs listed here.

If you have a Blog you would like added to the Hub, send me an e-mail.

Thanks.

  1. I agree that blogs have lost some popularity to things like Facebook and Twitter (among others). Personal blogs are a rarity now with most being issue blogs. That said, at 246 blogs you may well be at the upper end of how many NBers actually blog ie. impressive growth can't go on forever.

This in turn has led to a lot of blog hubs folding (its good to know you will be sticking around!). In fact New Brunswick Bloggers Hub is one of the last remaining regional blog rolls. Most that remain are political in nature (Liblogs, Blogging Tories, Progressive Bloggers).

I don't know how much time you want to put into the blogroll but I would like to point out that in comparison to other blogrolls it has very minimal features. While Facebook and Twitter have taken over some of the territory traditionally covered by blogs they also offer the tools for wider dissemination of blogs.

Anyways, good to know you're still around.
